TODAY’S HOROSCOPE — JANUARY 17th 2021

Jupiter, the feel good and faith driven maestro, meets Uranus, the disruptor of the status quo. The square reveals your inner confrontation about the meaning of individuality. The identity that is uniquely you, devoid of cultural and societal masks, is dying to show itself.

Uranus, is the first planet after Saturn. The latter sets the boundaries on how you should behave. Yet, Uranus defiantly calls for you to be the rebel of your personal cause. It provokes you to leave behind the comfort zone of your tribe. Uranus is in Taurus, the sign that the Moon is exalted in. The luminary is associated with family values and anything that creates material and emotional stability.

  1. How will you break free from traditions and practices that are out of sync with who you really are?

Uranus is weak in Taurus, so it will highlight your resistance to letting go of material and emotional attachments. The more you hold on is the less likely you’ll be able to freely express yourself. The square from Jupiter in Aquarius wants you to reconcile the two sides of the coin.

On one hand, Jupiter sets the stage for universal perspectives, laws, philosophies and points of view. You have consciously and unconsciously absorbed them into your daily life. On the other hand, the square between the planets disrupts this behaviour. It creates a pause for you to think about what you believe and being faithful to it.

Aquarius forms part of this picture and presents a conundrum. Humanitarian ideals are pitted against the need for you to live your unique point of view. Mercury is in a strong position in this sign. And at 14 degrees, you should use it to assess your values to make the right decision.

Quote of the Day — Jim Morrison

“There can’t be any large-scale revolution until there’s a personal revolution, on an individual level. It’s got to happen inside first.”
