Saturn Square Uranus
TODAY’S HOROSCOPE — JANUARY 16th 2021
The Old Guard is crumbling as Saturn in Aquarius advances with its square to Uranus in Taurus. We’re seeing the clash between cautious reform, authority, anti-establishment and breaks from tradition. Examples include:
- The resignation of the Juri Ratas, the Estonian Prime Minister, following an investigation into an alleged corruption scandal related to property development.
- The Italian Government is on the verge of collapse because a junior coalition party, Italy Alive, plans to pull out. Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, is being heavily criticised for failing to provide solutions for the country’s problems.
- The Russian Government’s resignation after President Vladimir Putin’s proposed wide ranging constitutional changes. They could extend his reign beyond 2024. Essentially, power would shift from the presidency to parliament.
Which areas of your life are so stagnant that you know it’s time to disrupt them? You have to resolve the tension brought about by your conservative and radical tendencies. The pressure continues to build because of the signs that the planets are in. Saturn represents prudence and restrictions. Yet, it’s in Aquarius, the symbol for transformation. Whereas, Uranus, the ruler of Aquarius, is in the conservative sign of Taurus.
Consequently, you may find that you are operating at cross-purposes, in the areas where you are frustrated. The sextile between Chiron in Aries and Saturn could offer a way out of the maze. They tempt you to break down barriers that show where you’re rigid, fearful or judgemental. Now is the time to be courageous and take yourself on. Look particularly at how you can live in a more transpersonal way.
