Weekly Horoscope — May 2nd — 8th 2021

The Moon conjunct retrograde Pluto in Capricorn, calls you to get to the root of an emotional problem. The action takes place in the 7th house of relationships, where the best or worst of you can be revealed. However, you’re the one who decides whether any of your interactions will be a source of conflict or growth. Astrology may suggest a range of options you could take. But at the end of the day, you always have free will. So decide whether you walk along the chosen route, blind or sighted.

The Ascendant at 23 degrees of Cancer, opposes these planet. Together, they create a cardinal signature of leadership, taking action and the need to be first.

Do you have the confidence to explore and expose your buried feelings that are the source of frustration?

It’s best that you start with yourself, particularly as Pluto is retrograde. Now is a time to purge any negative traits that are preventing you from flourishing. If you’re holding onto them as a defence mechanism, then you’re undermining yourself. It’s time to get out of your own way. Feelings of jealousy, revenge or unexpressed pain have passed their expiration dates. The problem is you haven’t caught up with the passage of time. Take a moment, pause and consider whether these traits actually belong to you or not.

You could find that over the years you’ve absorbed these from family members. Or, they belong to others you are close to. If this is the case, tap into Cancer’s sensitivities. So, instead of mulling over pain points or actively avoiding them, gently open the emotional Pandora’s Box. With the Ascendant in Cancer, you have the ability to be supportive in warm and caring ways. Over the next couple of days, Mercury facilitates this process. It forms an alliance with Venus in Taurus and they trine the Moon and Pluto.

This combination allows you to remove any hesitancy in terms of dealing with conflict. You’ll feel more in touch with your feelings, so you can express them with ease. Plus, they free you up to be receptive to hearing other points of view. You are open to taking them on, even though they maybe different to your own. Bear all of this in mind because Mars in Cancer wants to ‘rock the boat on the home front.’ The Lord of ‘Me First’ is in fall position. And it doesn’t like being in the sign ruled by the Moon. Energetically, they are at odds. Being overly assertive or aggressive, doesn’t sit well in Cancer’s tranquil home.

Mars continues to stir the pot. This time, it forms a square to Chiron in Aries, which is in the 10th house. Mars is exposed again because it’s in contention with the sign that it rules. Symbolically, Chiron encourages you to heal any wounds to you professional or public identity. It’s being supported by the sextile coming from Saturn in Aquarius. When combined, they want you to take yourself seriously. It’s time to step into and own your authority but exercise power, democratically.

The collaboration between Neptune and the Midheaven in Pisces, restate this use of power. Here, they offer you the chance to assess the maturity of your ego. Their reason for doing so, is to encourage you to loosen the grip on it. When you do, you have the capacity to serve others. If you haven’t matured in this way, you may present a confused version of yourself. Self-awareness is needed at this time. So choose wisely!

By the end of the week, the Moon enters Pisces and connects with Neptune and the Midheaven. When this happens your relationship with the public is highlighted. Here again you have another chance to consider:

Who do you need to become so the public can have a positive relationship with you?

It’s important to know this because they maybe looking to have a spiritual experience with you. Hence why it’s important to position yourself in a wholesome way. Otherwise, the other side of Neptune could show itself, meaning you may behave in deceptive ways. Fortunately, the Cancerian Ascendant reduces this possibility because it harmonises with the Piscean placements. You can present the united version of yourself which is to heal, help and nurture.

PS: I’d love to hear how you’re using the energies this week. Feel free to leave a comment below.
